“Hitler” is a 2024 Tamil action thriller directed by and written by Dhana, produced under the banner of Chendur Film International. Directed by Vijay Antony, Riya Suman, and Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film is based on revenge, corruption, and justice in a thriller that has full-of-action scenes and suspenseful turns.
The film is about "Selva" (Vijay Antony), a mute but tough man who comes to Chennai hoping to start life anew. Even in his humble life, trouble follows him everywhere. He then encounters "Sarah" (Riya Suman), a benevolent woman who shares her flat with her aunt and provides him with a sense of security and comfort. His past is still a mystery, and as the story goes, it becomes evident that Selva is not an ordinary human being.
At the same time, there is Deputy Commissioner "Sakthi" (Gautham Vasudev Menon), who is handling a string of gruesome killings involving underworld dons and corrupt political leaders. There is no hint left behind as the killer murders influential people who have been running the system and exploiting it since years. With Sakthi piecing things together, he understands that it is not indiscriminate violence that is taking place but a divine mission for justice.
As the cat-and-mouse pursuit gets more aggressive, Selva is pulled further into the underbelly of the city. His involvement in the political killings starts to surface, and doubts are raised about his true identity and secret agendas. With the ruthless politicians and criminals closing in on him, Selva is forced to battle a corrupt system while defending the people he cares about.
“Hitler” is a fast-paced action thriller that sustains the viewer's interest with its adrenaline-fueled narrative and tough performances. “Vijay Antony” does a solid brooding act that lends substance to his character arc. “Gautham Vasudev Menon” supplies a forceful presence as the resolute police officer, with Riya Suman serving up an emotional foothold to the story. The film's dynamic action set-pieces and serious themes are compounded by some high-octane thrills that make Hitler an entertaining watch interspersed by thrills, mystery, and drama.
