Housefull is a 2010 Bollywood comedy entertainer flick directed by Sajid Khan and produced by SajidNadiawala. The movie stars an ensemble star cast consisting of Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Ritesh Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone and many other supporting actors. The fun flick narrated a comedy of errors story of a happy go lucky man going through different women to find his true love amidst bigger stakes.
Housefull begins with the protagonist played by Akshay Kumar being dumped by a girl whom he loves, who later goes on to stay with one his friends which leads to a series of misunderstandings and this is the most enjoyable part of the movie. The rest of the movie deals with a series of witty and absurd mix up’s resulting in some serious slapstick fun coming your way with more and more characters coming in to the narrative. The second half deals with the lead characters antics in setting everything right.
Housefull was not well received by the critics and took a heavy beating from them for its least absorbing storyline, over the top sequences and pretty much everything. The movie however had a favourable response at the box office, turning out some good figures which also prompted two sequels in the series Housefull 2 and Housefull 3. The soundtrack of the film composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy comprising of eight songs panned out to be a chartbuster music album.
