Deva is an orphan whose parents die at an early age. He is then brought up by ACP Siddhant and his wife Pushpa. Their biological son Karan is jealous of Deva as he is given more attention and love than he is. Karan’s behavior worries his parents as he is constantly rebellious and getting into trouble. Meanwhile wealthy businessman Shobraj’s son is arrested by Siddhant for rape and murder. He tries to bribe the inspector to release his son but Siddhant is relentless and sticks to his orders. Later Karan is arrested for the murder of his girlfriend. His mother is shocked at this and fears losing her son.

 

Shobraj then approaches Siddhant again and promises to save Karan if he lets his son go with a shorter sentence but he refuses him once again and he is sentenced to death. Deva vows to prove Karan innocent and finds out that the murder was actually committed by Rocky who was hired by Shobraj. After Shobraj’s son is executed he vows to kill Siddhant’s family and attacks them but Deva saves them and kills Shobraj.

 

The movie is written and directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Shabnam Kapoor. The music is composed by Anu Malik and the lyrics are written by Abhilasha, Faiz Anwar, Indeevar, M G Hashmat. The cinematography is by S Pappu and the choreography is by Raju Khan, Saroj Khan and N A Tara. The star cast includes Ajay Devgan,Arif Khan,Vinod Khanna, Kajol, Amrish Puri, Kader Khan, Ronit Roy,Deven Verma,Ranjeet, Laxmikant Berde,Mohan Joshi Alok nath, Babloo Mukherjee, Dinesh Hingoo and Sujata Mehta.
