Thakur is a ruthless and disciplined man who will not tolerate anyone challenging his opinions. He is more concerned about making money and finding means to do it. His eldest son Amar is not in favor of his father’s principles and elopes with a poor gypsy girl named Jyoti. Thakur is furious and sends his younger son Pawan to study abroad so he may not have any influence of his elder brother. Soon Pawan finishes his education and returns back home to be a carbon copy of his dad. Amar and Jyoti get married and give birth to a son. He writes a letter to his father apologizing for his actions and then passes away with his wife. He leaves his son with his sister-in-law Dilruba. Pawan goes to get his nephew back but ends up falling in love with Dilruba. Thakur has however arranged Pawan’s marriage to a wealthy girl and he better not defy him. The film is directed by Mohan Segal and produced by Jawaharlal Bafna. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes
