Aditya, played by Akshay Kumar works as an automobile engineer and is engaged to Sonia, played by Bipasha Basu. They have their differences as she is a modern career oriented girl but he is traditional and simple in his outlook. Despite them being at loggerheads at most times, their marriage is fixed and their families are busy prepping for it. His employer meanwhile sends Aditya to Canada to study a new car model and there he bumps into Jia, played by Katrina Kaif. She is the daughter of a wealthy business tycoon but is simple by nature and is engaged to Karan Oberoi, played by Anil Kapoor.
Aditya and Jia keep running into each other on several occasions. They both become confide about their problems in each other and eventually become very close friends. One night at a car rally, Aditya and Jia get stuck in the snow and spend the night together, forgetting that they are engaged to other people. They fall in love but don’t confess yet. Jia tells a secret suspicion of her mother’s death to Aditya and he accidentally tells his close friend who in turn tells a reporter and it is splashed all over the news. A furious Jia breaks up with Aditya and leaves for her wedding with Karan. Eventually Jia and Aditya realize they love each other and are united.
The movie is directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Krishan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and Raj Kanwar. The music is composed by Anu Malik.
