Karan , played by Akshaye Khanna and Priya, played by Amisha Patel are part of a music and dance troupe. Karan is in love with Priya and eventually she too falls for him. They get a chance to perform a gig on a cruise liner, owned by wealthy businessman Raj, played by Bobby Deol. Raj gets extremely besotted by Priya’s beauty and charm and tries to woo her. After a few tries Priya too gets attracted to Raj and agrees to marry him. Turns out, this is a conspiracy by Karan and Priya to get all the wealth of Raj. Priya tries to make Raj fall deeply in love with her so she and Karan can enjoy his riches to their advantage soon.
Soon Priya and Raj get married. Karan asks Priya to divorce e. him so they can enjoy the millions she gets from the divorce. However one of the band members gets a whiff of their plan and starts to blackmail Karan. He asks for money and Karan instead of giving it to him, kills him. Later when Priya meets with an accident, Raj takes good care of her. This gives her a change of heart and she tells Raj the entire truth about her and Karan. She then tells Karan that she will not divorce Raj. A furious Karan plots to take his revenge and creates misunderstandings between husband and wife.
Later Raj pays Karan to kill Priya and make it look like a robbery gone wrong. However it is later revealed that Karan saves her life when a real thug comes to kill her. In the end Priya kills Karan and decides to live happily with Raj. The movie is directed by Abbas-Mastan and produced by Ganesh Jain and Ratan Jain. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
