The condition of the village in which Chhotu stays, has become terrible due to being hit by draught. Now seeing no other way to earn a living, his mother Meera, sends him off to the outskirts of Rajashthan, where his uncle Bhati has a Dhaba. This smart and intelligent boy Chhotu studies about the Indian President and is highly inspired by his life. He thus decides to change his name and call himself Kalam after the great entity.
Chottu however, workd hard at the dhaba and does his duties as told. One day he happens to meet the lonely prince of a palace, which is now turned into a hotel. The prince is of Chottu’s age and they hit it off. He even gives his clothes and books to Chottu, seeing his dedication in studies and knowledge. His mother one day comes to visit him and learns from his uncle Bhati that Chottu has stolen books and clothes from the prince, without knowing the full truth.
It is up to Chottu now to prove everyone wrong and fulfill his life long dream of turning into President Kalam. The movie is directed by Nila Madhab Panda and produced by Santanu Mishra and Jitendra Mishra. The music is composed by Susmit Bose, Shivji Dholi, Abhishek Ray, Madhuparna, Papon and Deepak Pandit.
