Kashmir, once known to be the peaceful paradise on earth, is slowly losing its identity to terrorism and political idiocies. People are constantly living in fear of the unknown and the politics that is now rampant. Lives are sometimes being sacrificed in the name of security and religion.
This story revolves around a journalist who travels to Kashmir for a special assignment. While there she is taking in the beauty and innocence of the place, but little does she know that life will come a full circle for her, as Kashmir is no longer what it used to be. The idea of ‘Azad Kashmir’ is just a notion and the dream is still far fetched.
The journalist gets caught up on the wrong side of the law and eventually goes to prison for a crime she hasn’t even commited. While in jail, she learns a lot more more the state then she would have being outside. She realizes how the human soul is so resilient in these times of despair and amongst a war torn Kashmir, there is still a little ray of hope that exists.
