Subhrojeet Chakraborty comes to Mumbai from West Bangal, to fulfill his professional goals of getting into the Television business. He is interviewed by Lalaji Telefilms as a Creative Head Director. After his birth chart and various other formalities are evaluated, he gets hired into the company. He is asked to write a fresh concept for a daily soap series. He learns that every idea he thinks of is already being made into a television series by the rival Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms, Subhrojeet, gets a writer’s block, where he is unable to think and write.
All this changes when he meets his new next door neightbour Sumana Roy Chowdhury. They become friends over time, and she decides to write a story for his daily soap about them both. The story becomes a instant hit and the TRP ratings of the show go higher and higher. Subhrojeet and Sumana realize one day that they have fallen in love with each other and decide to get married. Now the daily soap is based on their unmarried romance and friendship, getting married might complicate matters for the show.
The movie is directed by Sunanda Mitra and produced by Harish Sapkale and Shivnarayan B Singh. The music is composed by Anand-Milind and the singers include Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sangeet Haldipur and Harshdeep Kaur. The star cast includes Sushant Singh, Milind Gunaji, Hrishita Bhatt, Surendra Pal and Upasana Singh.
