Kamal Malhotra works in a table fan manufacturing company and is an honest and diligent employee. One day during an exhibition he crosses paths with a criminal gang member called Kamran. The latter mistakes him for a CID officer with the same name. Kamal then lands up drunk in a car and is unable to explain how and what happened, as he does not remember the name of the gang. Soon he finds the diamond dealer who puts him in trouble and tries to catch him but dealer is killed by Luca. He then manages to catch hold of a train ticket that Luca was going to travel by and travels in it by himself. There he meets Sonia and falls in love with her but doesn’t disclose his real name.
When the cops come looking for him he escapes taking Sonia as hostage. Soon Sonia discloses that she works for captain SPSingh and wants to find out the real identity of Kamal. The captain is however not able to trust her and asks Luca to kill her but she escapes. Turns out that Sonia is the real CID officer working undercover. Eventually the Captain is killed and Sonia and Kamal get married. The film is directed and produced by Jyotin Goel. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Amrish Puri, Gulshan Grover, Shafi Inamdar, Sharat Saxena, Raza Murad, Amrish Puri, Ramesh Deo and Viju Khote.
