Shankar loses his father and mother at a young age and now stays with his step mother and brothers. They are however cruel and unkind to him. His father leaves his property for all to share but they do not give anything to Shankar and throw him out of the house. Soon Shankar marries Sona and starts farming to earn his living. Meanwhile his step brother loses all his money in gambling and goes bankrupt. He then eyes
Shankar’s earnings and wants to kill him. Thinking Shankar is dead, Sona tries to commit suicide but is saved by a kind man named Ravi. Evetually she marries Ravi. Soon Shankar returns and is shocked to find that Sona is married to Ravi but realizes it was for her good and does not meet her. Sona ultimately comes to know that Shankar is alive and is overjoyed. The film is directed by Narinder Bedi and produced by Ved Khanna. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
