Two political families; the Qureshis and the Chauhan’s are at loggerheads with each other and are sworn enemies. Parma, played by Arjun Kapoor, is the grandson of the Chauhans and is up to no good with no goals or ambitions in life. He is often made fun of by his grandfather, much to his chagrin. Zoya, played by Parineeti Chopra is the hot headed and ambitious only girl in the all boys household of the Qureshis. She wants to join her father in politics but is laughed at for it.
Zoya and Parma meet while preparing for the election campaigns. They get into a tiff and Zoya slaps him. Later He apologizes and they fall in fall and get married by eloping. They have sex in an empty train and later Parma tells her that he the marriage was a fake one and he only wanted to have sex with her to take revenge for the slap. She is devastated to hear this. His family celebrates his arrival but Zoya in anger goes with a gun to shoot Parma but instead his grandfather shoots Parma’s mother and daughter-in-law.
Repenting on his mistake he protects Zoya and they go on the run. They eventually fall in love for real this time and take real marriage vows. Their families join forces and decide to kill them both as their marriage will be disrespectful to their communities. Parmar and Zoya finally nowhere to run and having been outnumbered by the goons after them, shoot each other on a house terrace to let their love win over.
The movie is directed by Habib Faizal and produced by Aditya Chopra. The music is composed by Amit Trivedi and Ranjit Barot.
