Thakur Digvijay is a ruthless and powerful man in the village. He falls in love with a beautiful village belle named Naina, played by Twinkle Khanna. He then gets engaged to her and soon wants to marry her. Naina does all this to soothe her father but she in reality is in love with Karan, played by Ajay Devgn. When Thakur hears about their love affair he is furious and will not let anyone have Naina. He thus instructs his men to finish off Karan and bring Naina to him alive. The couple sense the danger they are in and leave the village and escape to Mumbai. Digvijay’s men are on a rampage. He even offers a heft reward for anyone who can locate the couple. Karan’s father who is Digvijay’s employee goes to Mumbai and locates the couple. Karan is overjoyed to see his father but turns out he has come as a agent of the Thakur and wants Karan to let go of Naina.
The movie is directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Raj Kanwar and K Pappu. The star cast includes Shakti Kapoor, Raj Babbar, Amrish Puri, Mohnish Bahl, Aroona Irani, Neelima Azim, Kaanchan and Sapna Bedi. The music is composed by Dilip Sen and SameerSen and the lyrics are written by Sameer.
