Shankar Narayan (Aditya Pancholi) is an American returned guy who is the son of Mahaprabhu(Amrish Puri) but his shocked to see him in this Avatar in a small town called Dharampur, where his dad has learnt a few magical tricks from his prison mate , fools the people of the town with his Divine Power.
Shankar becomes an assistant to Goga (Amitabh Bachchan) the famous magician so gets him to Dharampur. Goga dethrones the Mahaprabhu, takes over the temple. Shankar asks Goga to leave the town, but he does not as he has got the power now and calls himself Gogeshwar. Mahaparabhu & Goga have a lot of tiffs each trying to put down the other. Finally, mahaprabhu is taken into custody and Goga remains being a Magician.
