Agastya, played by Akshay Kumar has a crush on Piya, played by Preity Zinta in college. But she constantly ignored the nerdy looking Agastya to be with her love Suhaan, played by Salman Khan. She breaks Agastya’s heart and elopes with Suhaan and the two get married. Suhaan is an aspiring actor and thus keeps his marriage to Piya a top secret. But unfortunately his career never really takes off and he is in financial turmoil. Piya leaves him and stops communicating with him. She later sends him a divorce notice. Agastya comes searching for Piya who is now settled in New York and he works for NASA.
Suhaan and his uncle Boney decide to get Agatya hooked up with Piya so that he doesn’t have to pay the massive alimony. He has no idea that Suhaan was married to Piya. They rent an apartment opposite to Piya’s and watch her every move. Suhaan trains Agastya how to woo her and he succeeds wining her heart. Suhaan later learns that Piya had a baby girl and kept it from Suhaan so as not to ruin his career further. But it’s too late as she is already engaged to Agastya. Later Agastya realizes that she still loves Suhaan and motivates her to tell him and they reunite their broken family.
The movie is written and directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The music is composed by Anu Malik. The cinematography is by Sudeep Chatterjee.
