Chandni, played by Urmila Matondkar is a talented singer and also dances well. She takes part in many shows and events as a result. During one such event she meets Rahul, played by Salman Khan, who is a rich spoilt brat. Chandni begins to fall in love with him. She had always imagined a man who will rescue her from the lowly life that she lives with her three aunts. Rahul is attracted to Chandni but treats her like his other girlfriends. One day Rahul’s worried grandfather sees him with Chandni and suggests that he marry her as his last wish.

 

Not able to deny him, Rahul asks Chandni to pretend to be his wife in front of his grandfather. She agrees readily, thinking that he loves her but she is sadly mistaken. Later when his grandfather leaves they go their separate ways. Soon Rahul realizes that he loves Chandni too and asks her to marry him and she happily agrees.

 

The movie is directed by Andaleeb Sultanpuri and produced by Bubby Kent. The star cast includes Monica Bedi, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Jaspal Bhatti, Shammi Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, Navneet Nishan, Kannu Gill, Mushtaq Khan, Ghanshyam, Gargi, Puneet, Bindu, Rohini Hattangady, Grusha Kapoor, Ashwini and Asha Sharma. The music is composed by Anu Malik and the lyrics are written by Majrooh Sultanpuri. The cinematography is by Santosh Sivan.
