Set in the 18th century, this is a love story between a Prince Ameer brought up in England, played by Imran Abbas and a courtesan Noor, played by Pernia Qureshi. Noor is trained in martial arts from Meer Mohsin and is made to believe that her ‘madam’ is her mother. Ameer is loyal to the British as he is told that is father too served them. Ameer falls in love with Noor. She makes him realize how the British have been unjust to Indians over the years.
Ameer’s grandfather knows that Commissioner Cavendish killed his father during the Indian fight for freedom, who Ameer considers his friend. This information could make Ameer oppose the British which could prove dangerous to his life. Noor and Ameer unite to fight the Britishers together. Jaanisaar is directed by Muzaffar Ali and produced by Meera Ali. The music is composed by Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan and Muzaffar Ali.
