Maharaja Shoor Veer Singh gets killed by a dreaded dacoit named Lakhan who is in search of a locket that holds a precious treasure map at Anjangarh. The trusted aid of the maharaja, Mangal Singh helps his son escape the cluthes of Lakhan and gives him to locket containing the treasure map. Years later the Maharaja’s son Shankar is brought up as an ordinary man and joins hands with close friends Sanga and Danny to recover the treasure. Lakhan meanwhile has turned into a wealthy businessman but still dreams of nabbing the treasure of Anjangarh someday.
The film is directed and produced by Pramod Chakravorty. The music is composed by R D Burman. The story and screenplay is written by Sachin Bhowmick. The star cast includes Dharamendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Zeenat Aman, Shoma Anand, Danny Denzongpa, Iftekhar, Sujit Kumar, Ranjeet, Amrish Puri, Pran and Beena.
