Gautam and Pooja are happily married and live a middle class lifestyle with their daughter Mahima. She is a happy go lucky and vivacious girl who falls in love with a boy named Anuraag. Anuraag’s foster father Pratap, is close friend’s with Gautam. Gautam and Pratap are happy that their children are in love with each other and plan to get them married. However, when Gautam and his family go to Pratap’s house, they are not welcomed very well. This is mainly due to her not brining in any dowry. Mahima prays to Santoshi Maa, who she believes in, and is sure she can bring a change of heart in.
Meanwhile Anuraag is accused of stealing at his office. Feeling humiliated he decides to go to Bombay to earn the money. After he leaves, Mahima is treated badly and like a servant. Things so from bad to worse when Pratap is paralyzed after an accident and it’s blamed on Mahima. One thing after another Mahima is mentally tortured. Now only Santoshi Maa and Mahima’s prayers can save her.
The movie is directed by Ahmed Siddique and produced by Shailendra Singh. The music is composed by Anu Malik.
