Jai Santoshi Maa released on August 15th 1975, directed by Vijay Sharma and produced by Satram Rohera.
The story is inspired by a Hindu folk story and the film depicts the true faith in Goddess Maa Santoshi, depicted by Anita Guha as the Goddess and her poor devotee Satyavati . The film is about miracles and how the Goddess comes to her rescue. It also shows Satyavati’s faith in God and her penance that is rewarded after a series of hardships including separation from her husband which all ends with a happy ending and with blessings of the Goddess.
