Parag, played by Neil Nitin Mukesh is recently promoted to regional manager where he works in Mumbai. One day he gets arrested for firing at police as well as possession of narcotics in his car. His friend Keshav gets severely injured and has something to do with the drugs. Parag who is innocent applies for bail through his girlfriend Manasi, but the judge denies him bail. He is kept in an overcrowded jail room full of criminals as well as innocent people who are awaiting trail. Parag is disturbed at the thought of living in a place like this ans is mentally tortured but soon begins to adjust.
Parag stays on in jail for two years before another trail happens and evidence is produced before court. The judge finds Parag guilty and he is acquitted and given 10 years of rigorous imprisonment. He later asks another convict to help him escape and says he will do anything in return. During a routine transfer of prisons, Parag gets a chance to escape but stays back. A new judge gets appointed and Parag’s case is reviewed, where the judge finds lot of blunders in the previous trial, he is thus acquitted and unites with Manasi.
The movie is written and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and produced by Sanjay Mehta. The music is composed by Shamir Tandon, Toshi and Sharib.
