Kranti Kumar is a valiant and honest police inspector, who lives with his grandparents. He goes to South India to meet a prospective bride named Koyel and falls in love with her. She too falls for himand soon they decide to get married. However just when the wedding date is announced, a man comes forth and declares that Kranti is an illegitimate child born out of wedlock. This shocks everyone including Kranti who postpones the wedding to find out his true parentage. He then questions his grandparents as to who his parents are and where he has come from. Then his grandfather recounts how his mother Gayetri was drugged and raped by a man called Amavas. He then had no consideration for her. He is then elected in a high position. Kranti has to now learn the truth the hard way.

The cinematography is by Navkant and the dialogues are written by Anirudh Tiwari. The star cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Moushumi Chatterjee,Madhu, Goga Kapoor,Kader Khan,Puneet Issar,Shakti Kapoor,Sonu Walia and Rambha.
