The film revolves around the Jallian wala Baug massacre that was ordered by General Reginald Dyer. He ordered the British Indian Army to shoot around 400 Indian defenceless men, women and children in the Jallianwala Baug in Amritsar, India. The public garden was a sight for horror for them where some of the people who tried to escape from the shooting and jumped into well. The film also centers around freedom fighter Udham Singh who was instrumental in freeing India from the British rule. The film is directed and produced by Balraj Tah. The music is composed by R D Burman.
The star cast includes Vinod Khanna, Parikshit Sahni, Om Shivpuri, Deepti Naval and Shabana Azmi.
