Filmmaker Virendra Desai was a well-known man who people looked up to. His success was something not many could replicate. He is happily married and has children. However a young film actressnamed Nalini, who works as an extra in many films falls for him and they both have a whirlwind romance. She then gives birth to a son named Rahul. Virendra soon suffers a series of flops one after another and is under tremendous pressure. He then decides that he is not capable of handling two families and decides to move away from Nalini and her son and abandons them.
Years pass by and Rahul has grown up and is a filmmaker himself. He is in desperate need of a good script to become successful. That’s when his friend suggests he make a realistic film and he decides to make an autobiographical film based on the relationship of his mother, his filmmaker father and himself. His father hearing of this files a lawsuit against him, but he is undeterred. The film is a huge success. The film is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and the music is composed by Ajit Varman. The cinematography is by Pravin Bhatt. The star cast includes Kumar Gaurav, Anupam Kher, Shernaaz Patel and Anita Raj.
