Ashwani Kumar comes from a poor family and lives with his wife and son. When his wife gives birth to a daughter, he decides to give her away for adoption to his childless widower colleagueRajeshwar. Meanwhile Ashwani’s wife and son die in a fire. He then adops a son and names him Ravi. Meanwhile Ravi grows up and falls in love with Suman, who is now Rajeshwar’s daughter. When Rajeshwar comes to know that Ravi is an orphan, he is infuriated as he dislikes orphans, since his sister’s death was caused by marrying an orphan. Ashwani however is infuriated at the humiliation caused by Rajeshwar and promises to makes him accept Suman as his daughter-in-law anyhow.
The film is directed by Ajay Kashyap and produced by Anuj Sharma. The music is composed by Anu Malik. The star cast includes Raaj Kumar,Mukesh Khanna, Karishma Kapoor, Harish,Prem Chopra,Annu Kapoor,Tiku Talsania,Mahesh Anand, Farida Jalal, Rohini Hattangady and Maya Alagh.
