Sapna is an orphan and lives a poor lifestyle with a lady she calls Mausi and her grandchildren. Sapna turns into a petty thief and the local police know her well. She keeps getting into trouble every now and then and ends up in jail. The new police officer Kumar who is transferred to the area arrests Sapna many times. Soon she joins a dance troupe and becomes a successful star. Her name is changed to Sangeeta and her pictures are printed in all newspapers. She then returns to her village to do one show. However the people and cops f her village are not used to seeing her in this light. The film is directed by Surajprakash and produced by Sargam Pics. The music is composed by Rajkawal. The star cast includes Raj Babbar, Shashi Puri, Zarina Wahab, Shail Choudhary, Dinesh Hingoo, Jankidas and Leela Mishra.
