Ramu and Vishu are twin brothers brought up in America. Their father wants them to marry twin brides, however Vishu ends up falling in love with a girl called Madhumita who has come to The US with her brother to get treatment for her grandmother who is critically sick. Everyone is happy for Vishu except his father who wanted both the brothers to marry twins girls. Madhumita thus hatches a plan and pretends to have a twin sister, who she introduces. The twin sister Vaishnavi, is actually herself in disguise. However things go wrong when Ramu actually falls in love with Vaishnavi and wants to marry her. The truth will have to be revealed before it is too late and Madhumati has to marry both brothers.
The movie is directed by S Shankar and R Kaushik and produced by Ashok Amritraj and Sunanda Murali Manohar. The music is composed by A R Rahman and the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar. The cinematography is by Ashok Kumar and Joshua S Narins. The star cast includes Prashanth, Naseer and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
