Sulakshana Devi loses her husband at a young age and is left to bring up three children Karan, Arjun and Suman on her own. The landlord of the rented apartment they live in ill-treats Sulakshana and robs her off all her money. Karan is furious on learning this and decides to teach him a lesson by robbing the money back but he gets caught and is arrested by the cops and kept in a juvenile remand home. When his mother goes to visit him, she comes to know that he has escaped and leaves for Mumbai. Karan too goes to Mumbai where he is brought up by a garage owner. As Karan grows up he is offered a job with a gangster named Devraj, but he refuses. He then asks Rattan to frame him for a murder thus accepting his offer from Devraj.

 

When Karan goes to meet Sulakshana Devi, she is furious at the criminal life he has been leading and refuses to let him stay. Soon Karan decides to give up his part life of crime and start afresh after falling for Madhu, but Devraj and Rattan will not let him. The film is directed by Rahul Rawail and produced by D Rama Naidu. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher,Paresh Rawal,Pankaj Dheer,Kanwaljit Singh,Abhinav Chaturvedi,Shehnaz Kudia,C S Dubey,Mangal Dhillon, Rakhee Gulzar, Moon Moon Sen, Jaya Mathur and Master Rinku.
