Jhuk Gaya Aasman

Jhuk Gaya Aasman (1968) A blend of Romance, Drama & Melos, is what an audience needs to keep them going. The film has been well portrayed with an element of fantasy and special effects that was quite impressing in those days. Directed by Lekh Tandon.   Starring Rajendra Kumar in a dual role as Sanjay and Tarun Kumar, Saira Banu as Priya, Rajendra Nath as Hanuman and Prem Chopra as Prem.

Sanjay, a jovial tourist guide living in Darjeeling, meets and instantly falls in love with Priya who is on holidays with friends. With his charm he impresses Priya and she too falls in love with him.

Things were fun and full of love, until Priya gets to know that her father is arrested back home in Calcutta who is wrongly framed by his Boss, Tarun Kumar who is a look alike of Sanjay and his brother Prem on false charges. 

When Sanjay had dropped Priya at the Airport.   Here, Sanjay in a happy mood thinking of his love, is singing a song meets with a jeep accident and loses his life.

God of death, An Angel takes Sanjay’s soul to heaven and there he pleads to give his life back, as he still has a long happy life to live referring to Priya, The Angel realizes that Sanjay’s soul had been taken by mistake instead of Tarun Kumar who’s a look alike of Sanjay, alas it’s too late to return his soul back into his body, as they find that it’s already been cremated. Now leaving no choice, the Angel tells Sanjay to enter the body of Tarun Kumar who has been murdered by his brother Prem, to seize his assets, tries to frame it on Priya, in order to save her, Sanjay immediately accepts to enter Tarun’s body. 

Due to Tarun who was a womanizer and a cheat, Sanjay in the body of Tarun, is unable to convince Priya to marry him, as Priya hates Tarun for framing her father, and unaware of the soul being in Tarun’s body.  Priya is convinced after lots of efforts. Tarun’s girlfriend, Rita creates a lot of Drama, in the hands of Prem. The movie takes a serious turn with Rita being murdered by Prem, and framing it on Priya. Finally, Sanjay after a lot of tussle, handovers Prem over to the police who confesses his dirty deeds, and everything settles for a happy ending.
