Vijay is a wealthy man who is happily married to wife Sunita and has two beautiful children Charudatta and Bishan. Unfortunately Sunita passes away and Vijay is left to take care of the kids himself. The kids miss their mother a lot but feel the loneliness their father is going through and want him to re- marry. They go about selecting a woman to replace their mother and meet Alka, who is a stage singer. Soon Vijay and Alka get close and decide to marry. On the way back from their honeymoon, Vijay’s care has a horrible accident and he dies. Alka is unable to tell the children the truth thus hatches a plan and gets Vijay’s look-a-like Tiger to take his place for 30 days. Alka puts the condition to Tiger that the kids must start to hate him and then he can leave them and go. She will pay him a sum of Rs 3 Lakhs for the whole drama. He agrees and things go as planned, however, on the 30 th day, the kids are abducted and a ransom of Rs 25 Lakhs is demanded from Alka. She is now
suspicious of Tiger. The film is directed by Esmail Shroff and produced by A G Nadiadwala. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Dharamendra, Rekha, Amrish Puri, Jugal, Asrani,Bhagwan, Lalita Pawar, Prema Narayan and Aruna Irani.
