Shaamu, played by Harshvardhan Deo lives in Agra and is the only child of Ramlal Gupta, played by Virendra Saxena who is a Halwaai and his devoted mother played by Natasha Rastogi. Shaamu is a dreamer and day dreams about what his future holds for him while writing poems and shayari. Only people who appreciate his kind of shayari are his equally directionless friends. This happy go lucky group of up to no good boys isn’t much of a trouble but is of no productive use either.
Radhika, played by Cherry Mardia is a well educated and qualified only child of Pandit Shankar Dayal Sharma, played by K.K. Raina. She is caring, practical and helps her father wherever possible. They stay in Mathura, where the family is well known and respected. On a visit to her grandmother’s house in Agra, she happens to meet Shaamu and he falls head over heels in love with her.
He goes about searching the girl he briefly saw and befriends her. She too ultimately falls in love with him and their romantic journey begins. But when her parents find out that she’s been seeing a boy of lower economic background they straight away object and thereafter begins a kind of war between the two families. Jigariyaa is directed by Raj Purohit and produced by Raju Chadha and Vinod Bachchan. The music is composed by Agnel- Faizan, Raj-Prakash and Anshuman Pratap Singh.
