Nihaal Singh, played by Sunny Deol is an honest and hard working constable from Punjab. He happens to cross paths with a notorious gangster called Romeo and this changes his life forever. Romeo who has been jailed, somehow manages to escape, thanks to the foolishness of Nihaal, which lands him in big time trouble. He is not only suspended but also ridiculed in his village and a bad name for constables. Romeo meanwhile has moved on to the US and is plotting to kill the president in a huge conspiracy. No one has seen him but only Nihaal and thus the police take his help in nabbing Romeo.
The FBI thus recruits Nihaal Singh to come to New York and help them in finding Nihaal before he does any more damage. Another FBI agent Suzanne Kaur is recruited to help Nihaal. She and Nihaal fall in love. Meanwhile he is desperately hunting for Romeo and wants to bring him back to his hometown to clear his name of the dishonesty that he has been labeled with.
The movie is directed by Rahul Rawail and produced by N.R Pachisia. The music is composed by Anand Raj Anand. The cinematography is by Jailesh Oberoi, Surendra Rao and Aseem Bajaj.
