The only thing bothering him is the huge alimony he needs to pay his wife plus his favorite car, which she has forcibly taken from him. He decides to work for a divorce-managing firm and there he meets Sonali, played by Bipasha Basu who works as his partner. Together they make couples fight and separate thus increasing the profit of their company. They call themselves the ‘Jodi Breakers’.
Later they get an assignment by a lady Mrs. Pereira to spy on her husband Marc, who is cheating on her and roaming in Greece with his mistress Maggie. Sid and Sonali somehow agree that they wont break up the couple and they both also start having feelings for each other. So they wrongly make it look like his mistress has cheated on Marc and he leaves her and goes back to his wife. Sonali later learns that Mrs. Pereira is actually Sid’s ex wife and was Marc’s mistress while Maggie was his wife. Angry at this revelation, she storms out leaving Sid and not wanting to work with him anymore.
