Inspector John is a tough and diligent police officer. He lives with his wife and a female servant. John busts the liquor racket of Gajju and gets his gang arrested and imprisoned. Gajju tries to bribe his way to release them but instead John arrests him as well. Gajju does not take this insult lightly and swears to avenge the humiliation. Soon he is released from prison and takes his revenge by killing john. Meanwhile his wife gives birth to twin boys. One boy is adopted by a rich couple who name him Janardhan while the other is adopted by the female servant who names him Jani. Years later the boys grow up and Gajju decides to kill Janardhan so as he will not be able to avenge his father’s death. The film is directed by T Rama Rao and produced by A Purnachandra Rao. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Rajnikant, Rati Agnihotri, Utpal Dutt, Chandrashekhar, Umesh Sharma, Ashok Saxena, Swaraj Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Kader Khan and Poonam Dhillon.
