Suraj Singh relocates with his son Raju after the death o fhis wife Savitri. With the help of a church priest, Suraj goes to live in a hill side community. Fearing that his enemy Zalim might try to abduct his son, he changes his name from Raju to Johnny. As Johnny grows up he falls in love with a wealthy girl name Seema. His father however tells him that him marrying such a wealthy girl might not be in his best interest and he agrees. A furious Seema agrees to marry Amar, her grandfather’s choice. Meanwhile Johnny meets Zalim and gets him arrested. When Amar and his sister come to visit Seema and the former approves of Seema. What she does not know is that the real Amar and his sister are killed and in their place Zalim’s son Shakti and his sister have come as imposters. Meanwhile Zalim is released from prison and reveals the truth that Savitri didn’t die a natural death but was killed by her own husband Suraj. The film is directed by Rakesh Kumar and produced by Tony. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan. The star cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Rati Agnihotri, Tanuja, Monty, Amrish Puri, Suresh Oberoi and Om Parkesh
