Agastya, played by Akshay Kumar is given the responsibility by his company in the US to formulate a system by which aliens can be communicated with. His hard work and efforts all come crashing down when hi seniors seem to lose faith in his capabilities and give him an ultimatum of completing the project in a stipulated time or face the consequences. Put in immense pressure, Agastya is desperate to gain success in his dream project.
Meanwhile his girlfriend Diva, played by Sonakshi Sinha informs of his ailing father to Agastya, who then decides to visit and care for him in his village Paglapur. On reaching the village, Agastya notices the strange behavior of certain villagers. Later he learns that his father isn’t ill and that he has been tricked into coming to India. After hearing the difficulty in which the villagers are staying without basic amenities and not even been demarcated on a map, Agastya decides to help the villagers.
He spreads the fake news that aliens have landed secretly in their village by drawing circles in the crop fields to make it look more realistic. The media gets a whiff of this news and starts to descend on this once unknown and isolated village. Later in a twist of destiny, real aliens end up coming to the village in the end and give them oil.
The movie is directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by Farah Khan and Akshay Kumar. The music is composed by G.V Prakash Kumar and Gaurav Dagaonkar.
