Dhyaneshwar Prasad Pitamber, played by Kader Khan is a wealthy business man who has four beautiful young and unmarried daughters. He wants to get them married but the problem is, they all refuse to marry and hate men. The daughters are named after Hindu goddesses Laxmi, Durga, Saraswati and Parvati. Pitamber decides enough is enough with their unruly daughter’s attitude and arranges for a prospective groom named Raju to come from the US to see his daughters and hopes he will marry anyone of them. However at the airport, he crosses paths with two conmen named Raja, played by Govinda and Kanhaiya, played by Johnny Lever.
They rob all of Raju’s belongings and leave him with his bare essentials thus people assume he is a beggar. Raja then goes to Pitamber’s house faking his identity as Raju and falls in love with Durga, played by Twinkle Khanna. However when Raja agrees to all the conditions Pitamber puts forward, he also asks him to get three more grooms for the remaining daughters only then can he marry Durga. Things start gets complicated and there is chaos in the house.
