Judwaa is an action comedy film directed by David Dhawan, produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and distributed by Fox Stars The film was released on 29th September 2017.
The leading cast comprises of Jaqueline Fernandez, Taapsee Pannu, Varun Dhawan (double role), Anupam Kher, Sachin Khedekar and Prachi Shah.
The story of Mr Malhotra (Sachin Khedekar), who is flying back to India and meets Charles (Zakir Hussain), a criminal. Mr. Malhotra is waiting to arrest him but has to rush to the hospital as his wife gives birth to twins. The doctor explains to the new parents that the twins are identical and when they are in the close proximity their reflexes will operate at the same time.
In the scuffle between Malhotra and the criminal Charles, Charles kidnaps one of the twins and leaves him on the railway tracks to die. A kind soul Kashibai finds him and brings him up as her son. Malhotra and his wife with their son Prem leave India to settle in London. Both the sons grow up in different environment, Raja and Prem (Both essayed by Varun Dhawan). Prem grows up to be a kind and gentle Christian boy who wants to be a musician. While Raja, the other twin turns out to be a street smart, grows up to be a fun loving and a stanch devotee of Lord Ganesha.
Raja finds Alishka (Jaqueline Fernandez) and Prem finds Samaira (Taapsee Pannu) as their love angle. Both the boys start dating their respective girlfriends. Raja with his comrade Nandu illegally lands in London. But they being around in the same area, their reflexes start operating simultaneously leading to comedy of errors and creating a lot of confusion for them, their girlfriends and people around them. A fun film made well with the boys reuniting with a happy ending to the story.
