Avinash, played by Bobby Deol and Sanjana, played by Lara Dutta are happily married but after a few years their married life starts going downhill. Avinash notices changes in her behavior. She constantly lies about small things and hides things from Avinash. He starts to doubt her every move and suspects her of having an affair. One day at a friends party he miserably insults Sanjana and humiliates her in public while being too drunk himself. Next day he hears the news that Sanjana has been brutally murdered by none other than himself. He is shocked and takes help from his friend Rohit who is a lawyer.
Rohit however promises to help Avinash but at the last minute runs off with his money, leaving him helpless. That’s when Sonia, played by Gul Panag comes to his rescue. Later Avinash reaches Rohit in Malaysia and comes to know that Sanjana is alive and living with him. In face both of them are having an affair. He kills Rohit in a fit of rage and puts the blame on Sanjana for hit murder. She is arrested and given life imprisonment. Avinash and Sonia start their life afresh.
The movie is directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Aashish Singh, Anurag Singh and K.P Singh. The music is composed by Anand Raj Anand and Anu Malik.
