Abhay, played by Fardeen Khan and Ritika, played by Esha Deol meet each other for the first time during a family friends wedding. They both voice their opinion on being against an arranged marriage. However, little do they know that their parents are fixing their marriage very soon. Both are reluctant but eventually give in to their parent’s wishes. The couple then embark on a honeymoon to Ooty with few other couples. They share a lodge with them as the part of the package.
Abhay and Ritika, meet other couples on the tour that include an elderly couple Mr and Mrs Chaturvedi who are there to celebrate their 40th anniversary. Then there is Shoaib and Anaiya, A.K and Sarah and Rishabh with Anu. All the couples go about sight seeing and touring the place together. At night however Ritika is afraid to consummate the marriage but Abhay separates the bed to make her comfortable. This breaks the ice and Ritika opens up a little more and warms up to Abhay. One night however Abhay tries to get intimate with Ritika but she throws a fit and they have a fight. They however pretend like all is well between them in front of the other couples.
One day when the couples take a bus ride to go back home, there is a horrible accident and the bus dangles from a high cliff. That’s when the couple’s realize how much they love each other. This also brings Ritika and Abhay close to each pother and they realize that they have fallen in love. The movie is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Pritish Nandy Communications.
