Purushottam, played by Vinay Pathak is aspiring to be a great writer. He keeps getting ideas but is not successful enough to put it the same way on paper. He feels things are getting monotonous in his life and he needs something exciting. He is living with his Punjabi wife Nikki who cannot stand his procrastinations over everything. She wants him to be more proactive and get a better job or do the best in what he is doing. This creates constant fights and arguments between the couple.
Fed up of the constant bickering and arguing he storms out of the house and lands up in a dingy place by the name Kukuji’s Ashram. Things don’t seem very normal there and Puru feels something is wrong until he meets Rubina, played by Raima Sen, a prostitute. He is smitten by her charming personality and aura. Little does he know that things are about to take an ugly turn.
