An action drama film directed by Tinnu Anand, produced by Iqbal Singh, released on the 25th of December 1981. Stars Amitabh Bachchan, Parveen Babi, Asha Parekh, Kader Khan, Amjad Khan.
Kaalia (Amitabh Bachchan) & his brother Shamu (Kader Khan) live together with his sister in law Shanti (Asha Parekh) & their little daughter. Shamu has an accident at work, loses his arm so cannot work but needs money. Kaalia begs to Shahani Seth (Amjad Khan) for money who is Shamu’s boss, but he refuses. Kaalia steals money from Shahani’s locker but gets caught and is sent to prison, where he learns the trick of crime.
Meanwhile Shamu dies. Kaalia is released, becomes stronger, different, does a lot of silly things, goes to prison again as he burns down the mill to take revenge. He comes out meets Shalini (Parveen Babi). Kaalia’s niece is kidnapped. The warden helps to find the boss’s house, finds Shanti and the niece.
Finally, Kaalia take revenge by chopping off Shahani Seth’s arm. All live happily in the end.
