A beautiful Family film directed by Karan Johar, produced by Yash Johar, released on 14th December 2001. It was a multistarrer film with Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor & Farida Jalal.
The movie is about a rich family consisting of Yashvardhan Raichand (Amitabh Bachchan), His wife Nandini (Jaya Bachchan), their two sons Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) & Rohan (Hrithik Roshan). Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) is sent to the boarding to study. There is a big celebration at the Raichand House where Rahul meets Anjali, falls in love with her who is a middle-class girl whose aunt works at the Raichand Mansion. Yash wants Rahul to marry Naina who is his friend’s daughter, but Rahul tells his father that he is in love with Anjali, gets married to her, brings her home but is not accepted by Yash as the household follows strict regulations of Culture, Traditions & upbringing so he asks them to leave the house. They go to London along with Anjali’s sister Pooja (Kareena Kapoor)
Rohan returns from the boarding and overhears his grandmothers talk about Rahul being the adopted son. He gets furious and vows to his mother that he will bring his brother Rahul and his family home come what may. Rohan leaves for London, finds Rahul with his family. Pooja and he are in love with each other and together they plan the reunion of Rahul with his parents. After a lot of heartburn and regret, Raichand asks for forgiveness and the family reunite as one once again.
