Jaggu, played by Jackie Shroff, is hired by a goon called Kachra Seth, who shows the world that his business is of garbage collection, but in reality runs a drug smuggling business. He asks his men and Jaggu to carry out activities and kidnapping, beating up someone or even killing them. Soon Jaggu falls for Tina, played by Pooja Bhatt, but isn’t able to tell her. Meanwhile Jaggu’s mother falls seriously ill and needs a lot of money for her treatment. Thus Jaggu goes to Kachra Seth for help but he gives him a task to earn the money. Unfortunately Jaggu is unsuccessful and gets caught by the cops.
Raja, played by Anil Kapoor, takes Jaggu’s place. He also falls in love with Tina. One day when Kachra Seth’s men harass her he rescues her and they fall in love. When Jaggu is released from jail he finds out that his mother has passed away and his sister is missing. The movie is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by R Mohan. The music is composed by A R Rehman and the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar. The star cast includes Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Pooja Bhatt, Paresh Rawal, Tinu Anand, Alok Nath, Darshan Bhagga, Mac Mohan, Suresh Menon and Rohini Hattangadi.
