Ravi Verma lives a carefree life with his elder brother Ranjit who works for a criminal named Veljibhai. One day the gangster asks Ranjit to vacate a land owned by freedom fighter Ustad Ali. Ravi takes up the assignment and goes there to vacate the house. However Ravi has brain tumor and while vacating Ali’s house collapses. Ali rushes him to the hospital for treatment. This changes Ravi’s perspective on things and he feels grateful for Ali’s help. He decides to save his land at any cost. Meanwhile Veljibhai takes the task of vacating Ali’s home and in the process also kills him.
Turns out that Ali has handed the land’s ownership to Ravi. Veljibhai now asks Ravi to hand it to him. When Ranjit tries to get it, Veljibhai brutally kills him. Ravi is now furious and swears revenge against Veljibhai. The film is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Nanabhai Bhatt. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan and the story is written by Salim Khan. The star cast includes Raj Babbar,Sanjay Dutt, Amrita Singh, Alok Nath,Paresh Rawal,Nilu Phule,Mahesh Anand,Anupam Kher and Dimple Kapadia.
