Shankar is a small time crook who carries on his crimes taking the assistance of his young and innocent son Shyam. His wife Gauri is unhappy with this fact and wants to give her two sons Ram and Shyam a better future and thus decides to take them and leave home for good. She however only manages to take Ram as her husband would not allow her to take Shyam too. She leaves with Ram and soon he grows up to work in a mill. He falls in love and marries a poor laborer named Sita. Soon Sita is pregnant and the couple is overjoyed. Things take an ugly turn when one day Ram rescues a girl from being molested at the mill. Ram pays a huge price for this and ends up losing his job. Now with no job, Sita has to work hard in pregnancy. Things get a tragic turn when she gives birth to a baby boy and dies. Ram is devastated at seeing his dead wife and poverty. He then makes up his mind to become the biggest smuggler and earn money by any means possible. Gauri now wants to save Ram’s young son from the evils of crime. The film is directed by S Ramanathan and produced by Balubhai Shah. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain. The star cast includes Jeetendra, Vinod Mehra, Asrani, Aruna Irani, Madanpuri, Master Titoo, Ranjeet and Niroopa Roy.
