Kanhoji Angre was the chief of the Maratha Naval force in 18th century India. Known for his bravery, Kanhoji battled against the British, Dutch and Portuguese maritime interface on the coasts of India amid the 18th century. In spite of the endeavors of the British and Portuguese to stifle Angre, he remained undefeated until his passing. Kanhoji Angre had risen as a ace of the Middle eastern Ocean from Surat to south Konkan.
