Rajiv Sinha, played by Anil Kapoor, is a wealthy industrialist. His closest friend is Amar, played by Rishi Kapoor, who is from a middle class background. Co-incidentally, both friends fall in love with the same girl Seema, played by Juhi Chawla. Rajiv is cunning and to get Amar out of his way, makes him marry a lowly girl called Sapna. Amar later realizes that it was all Rajiv’s plan to comes in the way of him and Seema whom he loves dearly. They soon start to become sore enemies and lose touch. Years later it is revealed that Amar has become a top lawyer and is well respected. Rajiv on the other hand gets arrested for killing a girl and is brought to court. Now it is Amar’s turn to teach his old friend a lesson.
The movie is directed by Rakesh Roshan and produced by Gava. The star cast includes Tinnu Anand, Aashif Sheikh, Suresh Chatwal, Asrani, Navin Nischol, Dinesh Hingoo, Ram Mohan, Dev Malhotra, Himani Shivpuri and Tisca Chopra. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan and the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar. The cinematography is by SameerArya and the choreography is by Chinni Prakash and Raju Khan.
