Karwaan written and directed by debutant Akarsh Khurana in 2018 is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Priti Rathi Gupta. The film stars, Irrfan Khan, Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Parker and marks the debut of the actor Dulquer Salman .
The film is a light comedy in which Dulquer Salman plays a boy from Bangalore who along with two others, heads out on an adventure road trip with a difference. But their adventure goes on and off track. Avinash Rajpurohit(Dulquer Salman) is depressed at his job . His father dies in a road accident and his body is accidentally transported to another family by mistake. Avinash’s friend Shaukat(Irrfan Khan) offers his van and accompanies him to Bangalore to exchange the bodies and in the mean time Tanya( Mithila Palkar) is the granddaughter of the deceased person with whom the body had been interchanged by mistake also joins them . A road trip that neither of them wish to be a part of it but are forced to go through it.
