Rajaram is a honest and hard working man. He is helpful and generous and his colleagues normally take advantage of his good nature. He is deeply in love with his neighbor Sandhya but has never had the courage to express it to her due to his shy and meek attitude. Meanwhile his close friend Bashu visits him one day and meets Sandhya. Due to his quick and clever talks he usually impresses people and Sandhya too ends up falling in love with him. Soon a marriage date is set for them. This devastates Rajaram. Turns out Bashu has been flirting with Rajaram’s boss’s wife Anuradha as well as his daughter Jojo. One day Jojo catches Bashu red handed with Anuradha. On his wedding day itself he runs off and doesn’t show up. Sandhya is left humiliated but Rajaram comes forward and agrees to marry her accepting her the way things are. The film is directed and produced by Sai Paranjpe. The music is composed by Raj Kamal. The star cast includes Farooq Sheikh, Naseruddin Shah, Jalal Aga, Deepti Naval, Malika Sarabhai, Arun Joglekar, Yatin Karyekar, Tinu Anand, Sudha Chopra, Rita Rani Kaul and Sarika.
